Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurse for the CVICU to provide specialized critical care to cardiac and vascular patients. This role involves managing complex equipment and supporting patient recovery in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver intensive nursing care to postoperative cardiac surgery and cardiovascular patients.
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic parameters, including PA catheter data and telemetry.
• Perform advanced procedures such as cardioversion, chest tube management, and transvenous pacing.
• Titrate vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics as per protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess patient needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Ensure documentation accuracy within Cerner system and adhere to unit policies.

Qualifications:

• Strong clinical background with 2+ years of ICU experience, preferably in CVICU.
• Proven ability to titrate medications, interpret telemetry, and manage advanced cardiac equipment.
• Basic proficiency with procedures like chest tube insertion, cardioversion, and intubation.
• Certification in ACLS; CCRN preferred but not required.
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and float across ICU units as needed.
