Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to nephrology patients, assessing their needs and delivering personalized treatment plans. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate nephrology patients’ conditions through comprehensive physical examinations and patient histories.
• Develop, implement, and modify care plans in coordination with an interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on disease management, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Prioritize patient needs, escalate safety concerns, and address potential hazards promptly.
• Document nursing care accurately using institutional information technology systems to support quality improvement.

Qualifications:

• Hold a BSN degree from an accredited program.
• Possess a valid NYS RN license.
• Have at least two (2) years of nursing experience in urology or nephrology.
• Demonstrate one (1) year of traveler nursing experience.
• Maintain BLS certification and relevant clinical skills.
