Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides hands-on patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The role involves implementing treatment plans, collecting data on patient progress, and adjusting interventions to ensure safety and effectiveness across various clinical settings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the physical therapist in delivering therapeutic exercises and modalities to patients of all ages.
• Implement specific components of treatment plans, monitoring patient responses and progress.
• Gather and document data related to patient interventions, reporting findings to supervising therapists.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort by modifying interventions when necessary.
• Operate and maintain therapy equipment according to protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to support comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current licensure and credentialing by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, State Physical Therapy Board.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Minimum of two years’ outpatient therapy experience preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
