Job Summary:
A Part-Time Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist physicians in identifying cardiovascular diseases. The role involves clinical imaging, patient history documentation, and support during specialized procedures like transesophageal echocardiography.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician requests.
• Document patient's clinical history and interpret sonographic images for clinical assessment.
• Assist cardiologists with image acquisition and equipment during transesophageal echocardiography.
• Support clinical training of students and cardiology fellows, mentoring their practice performance.
• Rotate on a scheduled on-call basis, including weekends and after-hours coverage.
• Conduct pediatric echocardiography when experienced and qualified to do so.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a medical diagnostic ultrasound program or related allied health training.
• Registry-eligible or certified in RDCS/RCS with successful exam completion within the first year of employment.
• CPR certification required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Ability to obtain and interpret diagnostic images accurately.
• Prior experience in pediatric echocardiography is preferred.
