Job Summary:
Provide advanced critical care nursing to ICU patients, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and compassionate care. Support patient recovery through skilled assessments, medication management, and adherence to hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Manage complex ICU cases, including patients with EVD, multiple medication drips, and trauma of varying severity.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments using tools such as CAM, CPOT, and RASS.
• Administer and monitor critical interventions, including hypothermia treatment and chest tube drainage.
• Observe strict infection control procedures, including isolation precautions and hand hygiene practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, documentation on Allscript EMR, and follow SOPs aligned with hospital standards.
• Utilize equipment such as PCA pumps and Hemosphere Flotrac for optimal patient management.

Qualifications:

• Hold a BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Possess an active RN license to practice in New York State or by reciprocity.
• Have at least 3 years of ICU experience; trauma experience preferred.
• Maintain current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS; CCRN and TNCC preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with critical care equipment and advanced patient monitoring.
• Be able to work flexible hours, including EOW and holidays, with a schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
