Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal periods. Ensures safe, family-centered care while maintaining clinical excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor medications, interventions, and patient assessments to support optimal maternal and fetal outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for laboring women and newborns.
- Utilize fetal monitoring techniques to assess fetal well-being and respond to any signs of distress promptly.
- Support and educate patients and their families on labor progress, postpartum recovery, and neonatal care.
- Document clinical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, clinical, and regulatory standards in obstetric and neonatal care.
Qualifications:
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required.
- AHA ACLS and NRP certifications required.
- Basic fetal monitoring skills essential; STABLE certification preferred.
- Experience in triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery settings.
- Previous experience stabilizing high-risk neonates preferred.
