Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse provides expert, patient-centered critical care to a designated group of ICU patients, ensuring safety, quality, and compassionate treatment. This role involves collaborative care delivery, patient education, and continuous quality improvement within a fast-paced ICU environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care by utilizing evidence-based practices and current research to meet patient needs.
• Assess and prioritize patient conditions, applying critical thinking to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies.
• Educate patients and families about their health, treatment options, and post-discharge care, promoting health and preventing illness.
• Promote a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, recognizing hazards, and reporting safety concerns.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives, monitor clinical outcomes, and support hospital safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Active NYS Registered Nurse license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care or telemetry experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant experience in ICU or critical care nursing, including travel experience preferred.
