Job Summary:
The Behavioral Health RN provides specialized nursing care to clients in a psychiatric setting, ensuring their safety, treatment, and well-being. The role involves administering medications, coordinating patient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver direct nursing care to clients with mental health needs, following organization policies.
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans based on client evaluations.
• Administer medications and record clinical data accurately, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency care as required, maintaining a safe environment.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, fostering a positive team environment and professional growth.
• Participate in treatment planning, group therapies, and ongoing staff training.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current Illinois RN license.
• BLS certification is required; B.S.N. degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrate clinical competence in psychiatric nursing and patient safety.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and specialized software (e.g., MS Office, Meditech).
• Capable of handling physical demands, including lifting up to 25 pounds and maintaining proper body mechanics.
