Job Summary:
The Outpatient GI Lab RN provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This role involves preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient management within a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prepare patients for GI procedures, ensuring timely and efficient preoperative care.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs during procedures, maintaining patient safety.
• Support patients in PACU, managing recovery and addressing post-procedure needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to ensure smooth procedural workflows and patient care continuity.
• Document clinical findings, procedures, and patient responses accurately in EMR systems.
• Comply with all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards in a clinical outpatient environment.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Registered Nurse license.
• Have at least 2 years of experience in procedure, pre-op, and PACU nursing, particularly within outpatient or GI settings.
• Demonstrate current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proficient in EPIC EMR documentation and patient assessment skills.
• Capable of float assignments to various units within the outpatient nursing scope.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
