Job Summary:
This role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with critical cardiovascular conditions in a cardiac stepdown unit. The nurse will deliver advanced patient management, including vasoactive drug administration and cardiac monitoring, during scheduled night shifts with weekend coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Administer vasoactive medications, antiarrhythmic drugs, and thrombolytic therapy in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure to assess patient status continuously.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies, including defibrillation and cardioversion procedures.
• Document patient care, medication administration, and clinical observations accurately in EPIC EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and SC RN licensing requirements, and maintain certifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience.
• Have ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and SC RN certifications.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular nursing.
• Be able to float to other units or facilities as needed, with appropriate competency documentation.
• Be willing to work 3x12 night shifts (19:00–07:30) with weekend coverage.
