Job Summary:
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care to patients across all age groups, managing a variety of critical conditions with a focus on trauma, stroke, sepsis, and cardiac emergencies. The role requires adaptability, clinical expertise, and the ability to swiftly respond to diverse patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer emergency nursing care and monitor patient vital signs to ensure stability.
• Utilize advanced clinical skills to manage critical Drips, including pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, sedation, and insulin.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in the EPIC EMR system.
• Float between units as needed, providing support in trauma, pediatrics, and adult care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with AHA, NIHSS, TNCC, and other certification standards.

Qualifications:

• Active NY Registered Nurse license verified via Nursys.
• Minimum of 2 years of ED experience, including some pediatric care.
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
• Proficient in using EPIC EMR software.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
