Job Summary:
Providing specialized behavioral health nursing care, this travel RN position focuses on supporting patients in a hospital-based psychiatric unit. The role involves delivering therapeutic interventions and ensuring patient safety during overnight shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer behavioral health treatments and therapies to patients.
• Monitor patient conditions using vitals machines and perform EKG assessments as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Enforce unit policies, including locked unit protocols for voluntary and involuntary patients.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as necessary to ensure patient and staff safety.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN or LPN license, with active Compact license required at submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Prior experience in mental health or behavioral health preferred.
• Current BLS and CPI certifications.
• Strong organizational skills, with good time management and outgoing personality.
• Ability to work overnight shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and every other weekend.
