Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Surgical First Assistant for a 13-week travel assignment in Salt Lake City. The role involves supporting cardiovascular surgeries in a fast-paced cardiac unit, primarily assisting with procedures like CABG and valve surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during open-heart and endovascular procedures, ensuring all protocols are followed.
• Perform Endoscopic Vein Harvest with expertise utilizing Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro systems.
• Prepare surgical areas and maintain sterile techniques throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth operation and patient safety.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including weekend and on-call responsibilities.
• Maintain required certifications such as CSFA, CFA, or SA-C.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of Open Heart First Assist experience.
• Hold current certifications: CSFA, CFA, or SA-C.
• Demonstrate proficiency in procedures including CABG, valve repair, TAVR, and thoracic surgeries.
• Exhibit strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills.
• Be available to start on 09/21/2026 for a 13-week assignment.
