Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) at Enloe Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to medium to high acuity cardiac patients. The nurse will deliver comprehensive pre-operative, post-operative, and medical management to a diverse patient population with complex health needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms using EPIC charting systems and respond to changes appropriately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding their conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain documentation and participate in unit-related quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current California RN license.
• Demonstrate current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess at least 2 years of critical care experience, including cardiac care.
• Have EPIC charting experience.
• Successfully completed prior traveler assignments in similar settings.
• Be adaptable to float to other units such as Med/Surg when needed.
