Job Summary:

The ICU Float RN provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients across multiple hospital campuses. The role requires flexibility to float between locations and adapt to varying unit needs, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced nursing interventions and monitor vital signs for ICU patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and escalate issues as necessary.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Adapt to different ICU environments and follow unit-specific protocols.
• Comply with all hospital policies, licensing, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active California RN license and ensure licensure is uploaded via Nursys within the last two weeks.
• Possess BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications with valid expiration dates.
• Have at least 4 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in acute patient assessment and critical care procedures.
• Willingness to work 3x12 hour day/night rotations with no on-call requirement.
• Able to work across multiple campuses with float requirements and adhere to travel compliance rules.
