Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac intermediate and progressive care unit. Support post-procedural, surgical, and vascular patients through comprehensive assessments and treatments, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and monitor patient conditions, including vital signs and cardiopulmonary status.
• Administer medications, drips, and interventions such as chest tube management and pacer wire removal.
• Perform procedures including post-cath care, heart caths, ablations, and open-heart surgery care.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document care activities accurately in the EMR system.
• Respond effectively to patient emergencies and escalations.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in state of practice.
• Minimum of 1-year current hospital experience in PCU or IMC/Stepdown units.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required.
• Experience with chest tube management, 12-lead EKGs, and ventilator management preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure environment with strong teamwork skills.
