Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and effective treatment throughout diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions and readiness for cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology procedures.
• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including pre-operative assessments and education.
• Support and assist in conducting invasive cardiac procedures with adherence to safety protocols.
• Document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.
• Demonstrate professionalism by following facility policies, maintaining confidentiality, and engaging in ongoing professional development.
• Ensure patient safety by following universal protocols, identifying patients with two identifiers, and utilizing proper transfer techniques.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with a minimum of 2 years critical care experience.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, with Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac procedures, equipment, and patient management in a specialized setting.
• Show strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to individualize patient care.
