Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide surgical care within the Operating Room. The RN will support various surgical specialties, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes during operative procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist with surgical procedures across multiple specialties including general, ortho, plastics, GI, urology, and pediatric dental.
• Maintain sterile techniques and proper infection control standards throughout operations.
• Administer medications, including anesthetic agents, and monitor patient vital signs during surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure efficient operation flow.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
• Comply with licensing, certification, and hospital policies, including orientation and ongoing competency assessments.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Mississippi RN license or eligible for licensure.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent OR nursing experience.
• Successfully complete BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (if applicable).
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EMR and Omnicell medication system.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including call, weekends, and in rotation with staff.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
