Job Summary:
Provides professional nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring safe and effective childbirth experiences. Collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care and support maternal health.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs related to labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Document patient progress and care interventions accurately in the healthcare record.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to team members based on their credentials and competencies.
• Promote a safe, supportive environment for mothers and newborns throughout the perinatal process.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• Assist with emergency situations, including complicated deliveries and neonatal resuscitation, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current and valid Registered Nurse license in Washington state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications must be current and all required for the specialty.
• Demonstrate proficiency with electronic health record systems, including Epic (unit-specific).
• Willing to float within the health system and work variable shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Pending licenses are accepted; must submit proof of licensure application if applicable.
