Job Summary:
The Ambulatory Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting, supporting individuals and families across the continuum of care. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring safety, quality, and cultural responsiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to provider orders and policies.
• Recognize changes in patient conditions and initiate appropriate interventions or escalate care as needed.
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, referrals, and follow-up services.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families on care, medications, and discharge instructions, promoting culturally responsive care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Demonstrate clinical competency within 3 months and every 3 years; high-risk competency within 3 months and annually.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, and work in a dynamic clinical environment.
