Job Summary:
The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care across a variety of age groups, from neonates to older adults. The role involves implementing nursing practices, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring quality patient outcomes in an ICU setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions and develop appropriate care plans based on standards and competencies.
• Execute nursing diagnosis, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care and delegate activities as needed.
• Participate in shared decision-making and contribute to the development of practice standards to improve the care environment.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage Impella and balloon pump devices for adult and geriatric patients.
• Document patient progress and clinical activities accurately within the Epic electronic health record system.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active State RN license and required certifications including BLS and ACLS.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience, with familiarity in adult and geriatric populations.
• Possess experience with fresh open-heart surgery patients and interpreting cardiac rhythms.
• Show proficiency in Epic documentation and skills relevant to critical care nursing.
• Have experience with Impella and balloon pump management (preferred).
• Provide references from current or recent supervisory roles.
