Job Summary:
Seeking experienced ICU RNs with CVICU background for travel assignments in a high-acuity cardiovascular ICU. This role involves providing specialized critical care to post-operative heart patients in a busy, technology-equipped unit.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive patient care to critically ill cardiovascular patients, including post-open heart surgery and ECMO management.
• Perform advanced clinical procedures such as pacemaker management, chest tube care, and pericardial drain assessment.
• Monitor patient status using bedside GE monitors and operate advanced equipment like Alaris IV pumps and Impella devices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including cath/EP labs, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document care accurately in Meditech and ensure compliance with hospital policies and protocols.
• Provide leadership as a charge nurse during night shifts, overseeing patient care and staffing.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with at least 1 year of ICU experience, preferably CVICU.
• Demonstrate proficiency with telemetry, pressor administration, and positive inotropes.
• Certification in ACLS/BLS or ALS/BLS is required.
• Experienced in procedures such as open heart recovery, ecmo cannulation, and caring for chest drains.
• Skilled in maintaining high patient safety and quality care standards.
