Job Summary:
Provide specialized surgical assistance in cardiovascular operating rooms, focusing on open heart and vascular procedures. Ensure the smooth and sterile execution of complex cardiovascular surgeries, adhering to established safety and clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Scrub on open heart and vascular cases, including wired vascular procedures, ensuring proper sterilization and instrument management.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and managing surgical equipment throughout procedures.
• Maintain awareness of patient safety, infection control standards, and compliance with all hospital and surgical protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure efficient procedure flow and optimal patient outcomes.
• Prepare operating rooms prior to surgery, including setup of necessary instruments and supplies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration during procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR scrub experience, with preferred expertise in open heart and vascular surgeries.
• Possess current active AHA BLS certification and Ohio or compact license.
• Demonstrate experience with wired vascular and complex cardiovascular cases.
• Require a minimum of 18 months combined perm experience in the relevant specialty.
• Have at least one recent reference from a supervisor, manager, or director within the past 12 months.
• Be able to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
