Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. They ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and infant through skilled clinical interventions and compassionate support.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to assess labor progress.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as prescribed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with obstetricians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and family members about labor progress, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, providing critical interventions to stabilize patients.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid registered nurse license in the state of practice.
• Proven experience in labor and delivery or maternal-newborn nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of obstetric and neonatal assessment and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and families.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
