Job Summary:

Provide specialized pediatric intensive care nursing to critically ill children in a fast-paced environment. The role involves delivering expert patient care, collaborating with medical teams, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced nursing care to PICU patients, monitoring vital signs and responding to changes effectively.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and update patient treatment plans.
• Educate families on patient care procedures, discharge instructions, and health management.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Float within the scope of practice to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics as needed based on staffing.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license, with pending licenses accepted and in hand by start date.
• Gain experience in pediatric intensive care, neonatal ICU, or acute pediatrics.
• Be BLS and PALS certified; Peds cardiac experience a plus.
• Have the ability to work 13-week night shifts with weekends and holiday rotations.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Provide references and all required certifications upon submission.
