Job Summary:

Provide specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients in a hospital setting, ensuring optimal respiratory function and patient safety through assessment, treatment, and monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapies and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient respiratory status, including oxygenation, ventilation, and airway management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and modify care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, interventions, and patient responses.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control procedures.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding respiratory conditions and treatments.

Qualifications:

• Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in state or pending licensing eligibility.
• Minimum of Level 4 NICU experience required.
• Preferred experience in cardiac PICU settings.
• Current BLS, NRP, and RRT certifications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
