Job Summary:
Provide specialized respiratory care to patients in a pediatric intensive care unit, ensuring optimal respiratory function and compliance with clinical protocols. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe and effective care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapies and procedures for neonatal and pediatric patients with complex needs.
• Monitor patient response to treatments and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care instructions.
• Adhere to infection control standards and safety protocols during clinical procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Registry-eligible Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license and active BLS certification.
• Possess NICU level 4 experience with neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Demonstrate minimum of 2 years of pediatric critical care experience.
• Be able to work flexible shifts, including 36 or 48 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday requirements.
• Have valid state license or pending license approval with verified eligibility for temporary licensing.
• Maintain current NRP certification and, preferred, cardiac PICU experience.
