Job Summary:

Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care to adult patients experiencing a range of mental health challenges. Responsible for facilitating treatment, monitoring patient progress, and supporting discharge planning in a secure inpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' mental health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed by psychiatrists.
• Monitor patient responses and document progress accurately.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, medications, and coping strategies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support discharge planning by coordinating with community resources and treatment providers.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with psychiatric or mental health certification preferred.
• Proven experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing.
• Strong assessment and patient monitoring skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of mental health medications, protocols, and safety procedures.
