Job Summary:

Seeking experienced ICU registered nurses for float pool assignments, including ICU, MS, Tele, PCU, and overflow units. Candidates must be adaptable to various hospital floors and comfortable floating to different units as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized patient care in ICU and related units, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
• Administer medications, monitor patient vitals, and interpret EKGs to support patient stability.
• Float between units including PACU, Stepdown, Telemetry, and overflow areas based on staffing needs.
• Pass the EKG exam during orientation to proceed with the contract.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, licensing, and certification requirements.
• Complete required modules and documentation prior to or during orientation.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years ICU experience in a large hospital setting.
• Hold a valid CA RN license in good standing at the time of submission.
• Have current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.
• Must have PA Line experience; additional assessment during interviews.
• Be willing to float and adaptable to changing unit requirements.
• First-time travelers are accepted with relevant large facility experience.
