Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse is a registered professional nurse responsible for delivering safe, competent, and high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit. The role involves assessment, planning, and execution of individualized nursing interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care by applying evidence-based nursing practices within the framework of Relationship Centered Care.
• Assess and evaluate patients’ clinical needs, utilizing critical thinking to develop and modify care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care to ensure understanding and engagement.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate effective communication among team members and address safety hazards or concerns proactively.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NYS RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of critical care or telemetry experience, with at least 1 year of applicable ICU experience preferred.
• Possess EPIC electronic medical record system experience highly preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills essential for safe and effective ICU care.
• Have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent; relevant experience may qualify with active BSN program enrollment.
