Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for Neuro Med-Surg Tele, specializing in neurology and trauma care. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care on a 36-bed unit, accommodating a diverse neuro patient population with continuous EEG and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to neuro patient populations, including stroke, epilepsy, and post-surgical patients.
• Administer and monitor medications, therapies, and neurological assessments accurately.
• Utilize telemetry, bladder scanning, and bedside EEG monitoring to evaluate patient status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for individualized patient care plans.
• Float within the scope to other units as needed, ensuring coverage and patient safety.
• Complete all documentation and charting using Cerner systems accurately and timely.

Qualifications:

• Require 2+ years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience, with neurology specialization.
• Hold Maryland or compact RN license at time of submission.
• Possess ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Certification, and Maryland-approved trauma education.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EKG testing, stroke care, and pre/post-neurosurgery procedures.
• Experience with spinal cord injury, TBI, wound care, and ventilator management preferred.
• Capable of float coverage across Med-Surg/Telemetry units and adhering to unit protocols.
