Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures in a high-volume Cath Lab. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer pre- and post-procedure nursing care for cardiac catheterization and EP patients.
• Assist with invasive procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and equipment during procedures.
• Document all procedures and patient responses accurately within the electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, universal precautions, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or electrophysiology setting.
• Strong understanding of cardiac procedures such as heart caths, pacemaker/ICD placements, and IR vascular interventions.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to cover rotating shifts, including weekends and on-call shifts.
• Demonstrated knowledge of hospital protocols and universal precautions.
