Job Summary:
The CT Tech is responsible for performing diagnostic CT scans and ensuring high-quality imaging for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The role involves reviewing requisitions, selecting appropriate protocols, and administering contrast media as needed to support accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images, including abdominal, pelvic, head, neck, chest, and spine scans.
• Review requisitions to determine appropriate imaging protocols and prepare contrast media for administration.
• Administer oral and IV contrast while adhering to safety and clinical guidelines.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, including trauma and emergency cases.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Cerner charting system and review imaging results for quality control.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and float within scope to meet changing department needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland Radiologic Technologist license at start or in process, with active license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience in acute care, outpatient, emergency, or pediatric settings.
• Certification in BLS and ARRT-R required; advanced certification preferred.
• Skilled in abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, and trauma imaging.
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration; fluency with GE, Siemens, and PACS systems.
• Knowledge of adult ICU, NICU, PICU, and operating room imaging is preferred.
