Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit. This role includes managing complex patient needs, supporting a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with acute medical conditions, including COVID-19, in a mixed unit environment.
• Administer medications such as Cardizem, amiodarone, Bumex, Lasix, Integrilin, octreotide, and Protonix, following prescribed protocols.
• Validate monitor techs’ interpretations of Phillips monitors and document findings accurately.
• Collaborate with the hospitalist team on patient rounds and critical decisions.
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 for general telemetry and 1:3 for PCU/Stepdown patients.
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed, demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with 1-2 years of experience in acute care, telemetry, or Med/Surg units.
• Proven ability to manage critically ill patients with complex conditions such as AMI, stroke/TIA, pneumonia, and renal issues.
• Strong understanding of telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, and respiratory support.
• Ability to work 12-hour day/night shifts with every other weekend commitment.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
