Job Summary:
The Wound and Ostomy Registered Nurse provides specialized wound care management, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through tailored treatment plans and patient education. This role involves collaboration with healthcare teams and ensuring ethical, empathetic patient interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' wounds, implementing appropriate care plans based on clinical guidelines.
• Educate patients and families on wound prevention, care, and management techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive wound care interventions.
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and educational activities accurately.
• Respond effectively to patient needs and inquiries, providing compassionate support.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize and problem-solve in a clinical setting.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within healthcare teams.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred, with wound care experience highly advantageous.
• Wound and Ostomy Certification preferred; BLS certification required.
