Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP setting, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes through expert clinical management and coordination. Supervises and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective cardiovascular procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments related to cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with established standards and protocols.
- Monitor patient status throughout procedures, responding promptly to any adverse events.
- Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care instructions, and health management.
- Coordinate pre- and post-procedure care, ensuring seamless patient transitions and safety.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise supporting clinical staff during procedures and recovery.
Qualifications:
- Possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Demonstrate at least two years of recent experience in a cardiac cath lab, EP lab, or equivalent cardiovascular setting.
- Be proficient in EPIC electronic medical record systems.
- Exhibit strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.
