Job Summary:
Provides outpatient medical assistance to a diverse patient population in a busy clinic setting. Assists healthcare providers with clinical tasks, patient care, and administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform vital signs, height, weight, pulse oximetry, hearing and vision screenings, and 12-lead EKGs.
• Review patient history, medications, and allergies; administer immunizations and injections.
• Conduct point-of-care testing including blood glucose, pregnancy, strep, and urinalysis.
• Assist with scheduling appointments, stocking supplies, and managing follow-up calls.
• Support clinical documentation and review lab results in Cerner system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland or Compact medical license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in outpatient or clinic settings.
• Certification in BLS required; CMA or RMA preferred.
• Proficient in performing clinical procedures such as injections, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
• Comfortable reviewing patient history, medications, and allergies.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
