Job Summary:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with recent acute care experience needed for a 13-week assignment. The role involves providing quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical setting, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and manage patient treatments according to physician orders.
• Interpret and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias, utilizing MS/Tele equipment.
• Support rapid response and code teams during emergencies.
• Manage peripheral lines, nasal cannulas, and oxygen therapy, including tank management.
• Apply infection control practices and isolation precautions as required.
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR system and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY State LPN/LVN license in good standing.
• Recent (within the past year) acute care experience, including medication administration and dysrhythmia management.
• BLS certification and 8 hours of stroke education required.
• Strong knowledge of non-invasive airway management and oxygen therapy.
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
