Job Summary: The Transporter will provide essential onsite transportation support for sterile processing and surgical teams, ensuring timely movement of instruments, case carts, and trays across multiple hospital locations. This full-time, non-exempt role supports surgical readiness and departmental efficiency during the SPD renovation.

Responsibilities:

• Transport case carts, instruments, and vendor trays between processing locations and hospital units.
• Support movement of sterile materials between the main hospital, mobile unit, Spanos Court SPD, and STCH.
• Coordinate with Sterile Processing, OR, and ancillary departments to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to uphold surgical readiness and instrument availability.
• Follow standardized workflows while adhering to safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication for transportation activities.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in hospital transportation or sterile processing support.
• Hold a valid state license as required, with certifications (AHA certifications preferred and required at submission).
• Demonstrate ability to work onsite across designated hospital locations, including travel within 50 miles.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to support 24/7 departmental coverage with a day shift from 8:00 to 17:00.
• Provide a 7-year work history verification and disclose any background issues such as BG hits or DUIs.
