Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care for intermediate and step-down patients across a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. Deliver high-quality patient care while monitoring and managing high-risk respiratory, cardiac, thoracic, hepatobiliary, and head/neck surgery patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' clinical conditions, including those on RA, BIPAP, or Optiflow therapy.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families on care procedures, medication management, and recovery expectations.
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols during patient care, especially during night shifts.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an intermediate or step-down unit.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred.
• Demonstrated experience caring for high-risk respiratory, cardiac, and surgical patients.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills to manage complex patient needs.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
