Job Summary:
The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic computed tomography procedures in a fast-paced trauma and academic medical center. They ensure accurate imaging, patient safety, and a positive patient experience while supporting clinical evaluation and care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and customize CT scans according to physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Enforce radiation safety measures in compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations.
• Assist and support patients throughout imaging procedures, including trauma, emergency, outpatient, inpatient, and research cases.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists, medical staff, and team members to facilitate accurate diagnosis and patient care.
• Support ongoing learning and technological advancements within the radiologic department.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and high school diploma.
• Hold New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit to practice in NY.
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Possess current BLS for Healthcare Providers, CPR, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• Have at least 2 years of experience performing CT scans or equivalent training.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of radiation safety, imaging protocols, and patient care.
