Job Summary:
The ER Registered Nurse provides urgent and emergency patient care in a fast-paced environment, assessing and treating patients with a wide range of conditions. They collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient care for all patients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments to identify immediate needs and prioritize care.
• Administer emergency interventions and medications according to established protocols.
• Document all patient care activities accurately, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency with emergency equipment and procedures, including resuscitation and trauma protocols.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care instructions, and safety measures.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, including Universal Protocol and patient identifiers, to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Critical Care, Cardiac, or Emergency Department settings.
• Current ACLS certification required; PALS certification required for pediatric ER.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Strong assessment, clinical, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and adapt to changing patient needs.
