Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown specialty provides specialized patient care in a high-acuity setting, ensuring safety and quality outcomes for each patient. The role involves floating across various units to support staffing needs and delivering comprehensive nursing services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions promptly upon assignment and establish individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately in accordance with physician orders.
• Utilize medical equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes during procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status and interventions.
• Adhere to professional dress code, including clean scrubs, and follow unit-specific orientation protocols.

Qualifications:

• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse license required prior to start date.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a medical or surgical unit, with relevant skills in high-acuity care.
• Hold current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to float seamlessly between units including Medical, Laulima, and Cardiovascular units.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication, and adaptability.
• Up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices and safety protocols.
