Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized respiratory therapy services to adult and occasional pediatric patients in inpatient, emergency, and outpatient settings. Work independently to deliver treatments, perform diagnostic procedures, and support patient respiratory care needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer breathing treatments, draw arterial blood gases, perform EKGs, and operate mechanical ventilators, Bipaps, and high-flow oxygen devices.
• Support patients requiring respiratory interventions in various clinical environments including inpatient units, ER, and outpatient clinics.
• Assist with intubations as needed, working under supervision to ensure patient safety.
• Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment such as Hamilton T-1 ventilators, Resmed Astral, and F&P Airvo.
• Collaborate with medical team members, including hospitalists and intensivists, to optimize patient care.
• Complete necessary documentation and follow departmental protocols during shifts.

Qualifications:

• Hold current BLS and ACLS credentials; CRT certification preferred, or RRT certification acceptable.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Have experience with adult respiratory therapy procedures; pediatric experience a plus.
• Possess strong skills in ABG analysis, EKG performance, and ventilator management.
• Ability to assist with intubations and respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Maintain excellent communication skills and adherence to safety standards.
