Job Summary:

The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for performing advanced computed tomography procedures, producing detailed cross-sectional and 3D images to assist radiologists in diagnosis and treatment. They also support interventional and therapeutic CT procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal imaging quality.

Responsibilities:

• Execute complex CT scans using precise techniques and equipment.
• Review patient clinical histories and scan into PACS, ensuring accuracy.
• Prepare and verify contrast questionnaires, administer contrast media as prescribed.
• Communicate with physicians to clarify exam prescriptions and modify orders as needed.
• Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions and provide appropriate care.
• Maintain patient safety protocols, including shielding and immobilization, and document all procedures accurately.

Qualifications:

• Hold a graduate degree from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Possess NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License and ARRT R.T.(R) certification.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning.
• Maintain current BLS certification and CEU credits.
• Preferably have at least six months of CT imaging experience.
• Knowledge of PACS, Epic, and other hospital HI/RIS systems is advantageous.
