Job Summary:
Registered professional nurse responsible for providing comprehensive patient care within the Medical Surgical unit. Delivers safe, effective nursing interventions while collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes across diverse age groups.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and formulate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and perform clinical procedures in accordance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff based on their competencies and scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, observations, and progress notes.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active and valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred.
• Demonstrate previous acute care experience, particularly in Medical Surgical units.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Show competency in dysrhythmia management, IV sedation, and fetal monitoring (as applicable).
• Be willing to complete required certifications within specified timeframes.
