Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Travel RN for the Stepdown/Telemetry unit at an acute care hospital. This role involves providing specialized cardiac and post-operative nursing care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical patient care.
• Perform procedures such as chest tube management, pacemaker care, and thoracentesis.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech Expanse system.
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures and post-discharge care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid VA license or Compact license required at submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience in a telemetry or stepdown unit.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac procedures.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
