Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking a vigilant and skilled Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Cath Lab/EP position. The ideal candidate will provide specialized nursing care for cardiac procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' health status and prepare them for cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any clinical changes during procedures.
- Administer medications and contrast agents as ordered and observe for adverse reactions.
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiac procedures, providing necessary instruments and support.
- Document all patient interactions, procedures, and clinical observations accurately in medical records.
- Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-procedure care and lifestyle modifications.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license with at least 2 years of experience in a cardiac or electrophysiology setting.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Demonstrate proficiency with cardiac catheterization procedures and EP lab protocols.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
