Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, or stepdown units, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and adherence to clinical protocols. This role involves managing acute cases with a focus on cardiovascular and post-operative care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans based on clinical assessments.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to adverse changes.
• Perform procedures such as chest tube management, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead EKGs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge plans.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure with active state credentials.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Demonstrated skills in chest tube management, O2 therapy (up to BiPAP/high-flow), and drips such as heparin and amiodarone.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high acuity environment with excellent communication skills.
