Job Summary:


RN Surgery provides skilled perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room across surgical cases. The role supports patient safety, prepares the care environment, and assists the surgical team to ensure smooth, efficient procedures.



Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct perioperative nursing care before, during, and after procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  
• Prepare, monitor, and maintain sterile field and surgical equipment readiness to support case requirements.
  
• Assess patients, document clinical findings, and communicate changes to the surgical team promptly.
  
• Administer medications and implement nursing interventions in compliance with policy and patient-specific orders.
  
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia staff to maintain effective workflow and patient-centered care.
  
• Maintain accurate charting and complete required compliance documentation.
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold an active Registered Nurse license with successful license verification.
  
• Maintain current BLS certification.
  
• Maintain current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable.
  
• Demonstrate competency in perioperative nursing practices and operating room workflow.
  
• Provide proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or documented attestation of vaccination/declination.
